Hi Claire,
Tell us a bit about the natural therapy centre and what service you offer? When did you start?
Hello, my name is Claire Parry and I am a Registered Nutritionist and Natural Health Practitioner at The Natural Therapy Centre in Burton House, Colne. From my private practice, I offer an integrative approach to health and well-being, treating the person and not just the symptoms.
I founded the business in May 2014 following a long battle with an autoimmune condition which Western medicine was unable to diagnose or treat. Following many misdiagnosis, I decided to go completely back to basics and look at what I was eating and my lifestyle. It took nine months to regain my health through using food as medicine, and supported this process with reflexology and acupuncture.
At this time in my life I felt the choice of therapies to be overwhelming, this led to me to retrain so that I could open a wellness centre which treats the person by integrating a range of modalities to help them on their journey to better health.
I am a Natural Health Practitioner and offer therapies including; Nutritional Therapy, Food Testing, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Dry Cupping Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, Chakra Balancing and Sound Healing therapy as a holistic approach to mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health.
How long have you been at Burton House?
I moved to Burton House when it opened in April 2020
What attracted you to Burton House?
The location is perfect, it is right in the centre of town with excellent travel networks such as the bus station, train station and at the end of the M65. The building has been sympathetically restored and offers everything a small business needs with modern facilities.
• Do you have any news you would like to share with Thrive? Any new therapies you are offering?
I complete my certified Master Nutritionist qualification at Aston University, Birmingham, in November this year.
