Following their move into one of our newly refurbished suites at Atlas House, we spoke to Stuart Chell of Chell Perkins.
Hi Stuart – tell us a bit about Chell Perkins.
We are an outsourced fundraising service for charities. Many charities struggle with small budgets and this makes it difficult for them to hire their own fundraising team. We, therefore, offer an affordable solution, allowing them to access high-quality professional fundraising support at a manageable cost.
That’s great. So, what kind of fundraising do you do?
We write funding bids to organisations like Big Lottery and Children in Need, project managing fundraising events, writing fundraising copy for online and postal appeals, or managing the fundraising aspect of capital campaigns. We also offer research, strategy and training services to help charities become more effective and self-sufficient in their own fundraising.
What brought you to Atlas House?
We love the design of the building and friendly atmosphere. It takes a tremendous amount of trust from a charity CEO to outsource their fundraising to an external company. When they visit us, we want an environment that represents our professionalism and credibility. Thrive provides that.
We also love the fact that we can meet our customers in other Thrive buildings, as this gives us a professional meeting space near several of our key clients.
And what do you like most about the space?
The breakout space is amazing. My dad loves using the Pac-Man machine when he visits!
Tell us a fun fact about your business.
Thanks to the Netflix documentary Game Changers, over half of our team have become vegan or vegetarian. Oh, and if you hear our bell ringing, that means we’ve just brought some money in for a client (we have raised over £4.4m since we launched in 2017)!
We’ll keep an ear out for that bell! Finally, do you have any news you’d like to share with your fellow Thrive members?
We are very new to Atlas House, so pop in and say hi. We would love to get to know our neighbours.
We’re sure you’ll have lots of people popping in – and welcome to Atlas House!Category - Tenant Spotlights
