Our Club Thrive member in the spotlight is Mindgrove, a professional training company for auditors, based at Thrive’s Station House in Warrington. We spoke to co-owner and director, Tanya Corlett.
Hi Tanya – tell us a bit about Mindgrove.
We launched in 2001 and we specialise in Audit, Risk and Control. Our trainers and consultants deliver support to organisations across all sectors. Our affiliation to the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (CIIA) and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) for whom we run events, has made us the first point of call for those seeking high-quality, low-cost, expert training. We are a small company with an international presence. I’m based at Station House with my co-owner-director, Stan Dormer, while the other team members are spread around the UK.
Brilliant. How long have you and Stan been at Station House?
We’ve been at Station House since September 2016 and enjoy sharing the space with like-minded people from other companies.
And what do you like best about the space?
Despite fears about having an office next to a rail station, we’ve become seasoned train spotters and watching folk on their travels can be more fun than work! We love the history that comes with the old Station House and its convenience – not only for popping out for a sandwich or bit of shopping, but for clients who can visit us using rail services.
That’s fantastic! Do you have any news you’d like to share with your fellow Club Thrive members?
This month, after patiently constructing it from Station House, we launched our state-of-the-art online learning academy with our most-often-requested training course: “Audit Report Writing”.
Thanks Tanya, we’re sure that’ll be a very popular course!
