Our Club Thrive Member in the spotlight is GKR Karate, a karate club operating across England from their new head office at Foundry House, Widnes. We spoke to Simon Kane, their National Administration Manager.
Hi Simon. So, what do GKR Karate do?
Go-Kan-Ryu Karate (GKR) is a traditional Japanese style of karate, taught in a non-contact environment, promoting both character and physical development. GKR is a club for all ages promoting self-defence, fitness, coordination, discipline and stress relief. We currently have over 6,000 students training with us each week.
Brilliant. How many of your team are based at Foundry House?
We have four staff, soon to be five, based out of our head office at Foundry House. We also have 22 Senior Instructors overseeing 400+ classes throughout England.
What attracted you to Foundry House?
Foundry House really stood out from other properties in the area because of the high-quality fit out. Once we’d viewed the property, it was an easy decision for us to relocate here.
That’s great to hear! And what do you like best about the space?
We love the large and bright office space, great facilities in the communal/meeting areas and a pool table… Who needs anything else?!
Do you have any news you’d like to share with other Club Thrive members?
Nothing at the minute but watch this space…
Thanks Simon, it was lovely chatting with you.
