At Thrive, you can find yourself next door to creative agencies, law firms and now, with one of our most recent move-ins, fashion buyers.
Angela Bannerman, an independent international fashion buyer, has just relocated her business to Foundry House in Widnes, which is now at full capacity. We spoke to her to find out more about what she does.
Hi Angela, what made you decide to set up your own business?
“I’ve worked in the fashion buying industry for over 24 years, working for well-known high street brands such as Gap, Peacocks, Matalan and Primark. Having spent the last seven years working in Dublin for Primark, I decided it was time to come back home to Liverpool. I’ve only ever worked in fashion buying so I decided to set up on my own.”
That’s great. What does fashion buying involve?
“I work with factories in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and India, helping them to create their product ranges and developments in fabrics and trims. I also help to sell their ranges into high street retailers.”
What attracted you to Foundry House?
“On moving back to Liverpool, it was highly important for me to find an office close to home. Foundry House is close to all road networks and easy to get to both Liverpool and Manchester Airports for myself and my clients, which is vital as I do a lot of travelling.
“There’s plenty of breakout space and it’s never too crowded – the meeting rooms are an added advantage. The office space at Foundry House is modern and has a great vibe for working in as well as bringing in customers for meetings.”
Thanks Angela. Enjoy your next trip to India!Category - Tenant Spotlights
